US move behind Israel’s latest brutality: MYC

(Islamabad) – The whole humanity and the hearts of all of us bleed over the massacre of Palestinians. The latest Israeli barbarity is the consequence of the US recent move of shifting its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds. This action by the US is equivalent to inciting Israel and making it believe that there only exists one state, rendering null and void the perception of the two-state solution of the conflict…
This was stated by Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Senior Vice President of Milli Yekjehti Council (MYC), while addressing an emergency session called by the council against the backdrop of Israel’s brutal crackdown in the occupied Palestine. He said Trump’s move of shifting its embassy was in flat contradiction with the world’s unanimous stand. Appreciating the Pakistani govt for observing Palestine Solidarity Day, he said the need was to move ahead and take concrete practical steps in this connection. He deplored that the OIC had failed to stop the endless killing of Palestinians, urging the Muslim body to adopt realistic approach in this regard.
On the occasion, MYC Secretary General Liaqat Baloch said that Israel had become a persistent problem. He said the measures taken by the imperialist forces of the world through a well-thought out plan to capture the Palestinian land had now become evident. He said the Muslims throughout the world love and are deeply attached to Palestine and al-Quds. He said that at the time of creation of Pakistan, its founders also supported the cause of Palestine and that the whole of Pakistan still backs the stance of its founding leaders. He said all Palestinians were protesting the decision that Trump made to please the Zionists. He urged all Muslims to come out and express solidarity with their Palestinian brethren and record their protest in a forceful way on the occasion of Palestine Solidarity Day announced by the government of Pakistan. He said this is the time when Muslims have to exhibit unity so that problems being faced by Ummah could be solved.
MYC Deputy Secretary General Saqib Akbar said that the current situation in Palestine was a new turning point in the whole movement. He said that the aggressive policies adopted by Trump were disturbing for people of Palestine, people of Pakistan as well as for the whole Ummah. He said that Trump had last year talked about the one-state solution, meaning he totally rejected the concept of a Palestinian state. He said that Qaid-e-Azam right from the beginning was totally against accepting the existence of an Israeli state. Welcoming the decision of Pakistani government to observe Palestine Solidarity Day, he said it was for the first time in history that such a step was taken by the government.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir-Chapter Abdul Rashid Turabi said that Trump had opposed the US stand and the global consensus by speaking about the one-state solution. He condemned in strong terms the recent massacring of Palestinians at the hands of Israeli forces and said that they as well as the Muslims around the world were with their Palestinian brethren in this hour of grief. He said that Muslim rulers siding with Israel and the US were equally responsible for the oppression of Palestinians.
The council in its meeting welcomed the decision of the Pakistani government to observe Palestine Solidarity Day on May 18, 2018. It announced that all the affiliated parties of the MYC will express solidarity with the Palestinians on this day. It was also demanded in the meeting that the OIC should form a military alliance and act against Israel. The meeting also demanded that those Islamic countries having ties with Israel should immediately end these relations.
