It is not possible to bring about any positive change by forgetting women who are an important part of society. Al-Basirah started its women’s department long ago in this regard. The chairperson of this department was Ms. Nabila Saqib. 

She was the head of the women’s department as well as a woman scholar and artist. Ms. Nabila Saqib was editor of the monthly Payam and the monthly Masoom, she was vice chairperson of Al-Basirah trust as well.
After the demise of Ms. Nabila Saqib, Ms. Huma Murtaza took over her responsibilities. Many seminars and programs for women are organized under this department. The annual program of this series is held under the title of Hazrat Zainab’s birthday.

Al-Basirah’s Women’s Department works closely with the Women’s Department of other organizations and institutions. Milad and Naat ceremonies are also organized under this department. At present, the head of this department is Ms. Huma Murtaza while other assistants are Ms. Ayesha Tanzeel and Ms. Tahira Zaidi. The department conducted several women’s programs.
